I wonder if my hubby would go for a Pokémon Halloween theme this year. I’ll be Pikachu, of course, and he can be the Pokéball. Or, he can be my trainer and just toss balls at me. That sounds slightly dirty, but, hey, I am married y’all. 😉
You see, I got sucked into Pokémon Go, and I really don’t know why. I never played Pokémon. I knew of certain characters but that is only because Pikachu is so cute!
So, I have become that person who pretends she’s engrossed in her phone due to a text, email, or news breaking story when I really just have Pokémon Go in the background. I paint a pretty convincing picture eh?

While many hard-working peeps are celebrating Labor Day, I am mourning the unofficial end of summer.
Before too long, the sun will set much earlier and I’ll have to pull my sun lamp out of storage. Las Vegas does not get terribly cold, but the sun sets around 4:30 PM and that is just too early for my taste and for my moods.
I think Blac Label Boutique feels my pain and can’t embrace the Fall season just yet. Blac Quartz has an exclusive piece for Designer Showcase’s September round. Trying to understand the bigger picture is harder than it seems. In the past, I got so focused, I could only see what was in front of me, so I missed what I needed to see.
Okay, I also ignored what I needed to see too lol. The mind can be so convenient at times.
Right now, my mind is on top of it because I am getting better at seeing the whole picture.
And right now, I understand that I was pretty much an idiot when I was younger, so I can’t blame my young employees for making the same mistakes I did. I wish I could save them.
So hubby, “I’ll always be the man in love with you.” Um..woman. You know what I mean. Readers, you probably do not, so let me take you back to Christmas 2015.
In 2015, my husband and I celebrated our first Christmas as a married couple so I was on the lookout for cutesy commemoration gifts to throw under the tree. Hobby Lobby had the cutest mugs in the checkout aisle that read “I heart my husband” and “I heart my wife.” Initially, I grabbed the heart wife mug for a gift, but I rethought that decision while standing in line. It was almost Christmas so that line was long.
I decided it was too presumptuous to expect my hubby to drink out of a mug that proclaimed he loved his wife. After all, since it was a gift, I should demonstrate my love for my husband right?
So, I purchased the “I heart my husband” mug as a gift for my new hubby. On the drive home, I pictured my husband drinking from that mug. It wasn’t what I imagined lol, so my mug purchase has been a running joke ever since.

Have you ever felt like you won the battle? I have. Have you ever realized that the battle only exists in your head? The odds must be in my favor because, again, I have.
Though, I should warn you. Winning a battle that was basically created in your head is satisfying, but a lonely experience if you need attention. Prozac does not solve everything.
