You said meet me for tea, so I put on that Spring dress you loved so much and made sure my nails were clean.

But when I arrived, you were no where to be seen.

For a moment, I thought about staying.
Thought about making excuses for you
the way I always used to. But instead, I stood up straight,
smoothed the wrinkles from my dress,
and walked back out into the afternoon sun.

While we can wear pink all year, there is nothing like pink in spring. It’s the freshest color that I know of and it has an essence of innocence. Doesn’t that remind you of the beginning of spring? The blooms of spring may have to withstand a last minute frost. Can they survive? =(

January is the month for looking forward, but it’s also the best month to reflect. It’s Designer Showcase’s 15 year anniversary, and I can’t believe it. I have so many fond memories as a blogger.
