You know what they say…April showers bring May flowers. However, for now, it’s only showers. I love to stomp around in colorful rain boots, and Lavanda Chic has three variations of their super cute Rain Spring Boots. The weekend goes by way too fast. However, Monday doesn’t have to be blah because Acid Lily Designer’s Showcase offers us a new collection, from talented designers all across the grid, at the beginning of every week. Leri Miles Design brings vibrant colors and fun prints to this week’s showcase. I like that we can mix and match the tops and skirts. We can go with one shade or use contrasting colors. There’s many colors to choose from, so you can mix up your favorite shades.

By the way, my pose is from Zodiac! I was going to wait to go to Zodiac, because I’m a Sagittarius, but that’s awfully stubborn of me. Since most astrologists claim Taurus signs are stubborn, I figured that was a sign 😉

Have you gone to to see this week’s Acid Lily showcase? This week’s collection will be taken away, and a new one will take its place on Monday, so better get moving if you’d like to grab something. Speaking of grab…Co*Motion’s Pose Set Better Off Red is something worth getting if you love to play with shadows and fairy tale settings.

The pose set has a variety of poses to chose from and it’s two characters. I chose to just go traditional Little Red Riding Hood and that big bad wolf.

The prop has a light projector, so depending on your windlight setting, you can go dark and spooky or lighter fairy tale fun. I used the recommended Phototools No Light setting, so the projector is noticeable. This particular pose comes with the basket of goodies and light, or you can use your own props. Wonder what’s in my basket? I have a feeling there’s some sort of meat product due to the growling behind me…

Ooh, it’s got me! Actually, the werewolf avi, along with other types, comes in our default SL inventory. It’s a mean sucker!

But, I was able to tame the beast. Check out Co*Motion’s prop Better off Red at Acid Lily. It’s only 70L. After the weekend, you can find it at the Co*Motion main store, but it will be back to its regular price.

LIV(ing) it up

Have you gone to LIV Glam lately? Samantha Jones has been hard at work creating intricate textures for her designs. While I love pops of color, I also like to dress in neutrals. Blacks, whites, and grays have a timeless elegance. However, Sunshine’s ensemble Lea Print Dress and Jacket allows you to change the print of the dress if you still like that pop of color. Want to zip around the skies? Co*Motion’s Handy Dandelion allows you do so. It comes with instructions, but I found I had to leap off my little skybox in order to fly around. Kinda dramatic huh? It will make quite the statement for sure though. However, I need to work on my flying skills. If we were required to have a flying license in SL, I would have failed my test for sure.

Sometimes, the only way to travel is to fly. Co*Motion’s wearable prop Night Flight allows one to soar through the skies.

Night Flight features other colors and it also comes in petite versions, so all you petite avatars can travel in whimsical style too. Of course, one should blend in when flying incognito.

I disguised my Evian Aphrodite skin with its vivid layer. The vivid layers are really awesome because you can tint your skin to whatever color you like while maintaining the features of the skin and shape that you love. Give it a try! Click here for a lift to Egoisme’s main store.

Bosom Buddies and a Spring Fling

Don’t judge me! I’m still a bit shy, but yes I jumped on the Lolas Bandwagon. In my defense, so many designers are incorporating the appliers in their clothes, so I had to see for myself. However, I did make a costly mistake. If you’re considering getting a pair, make sure they are mesh. I didn’t read the sign properly, I’m a horrible skim reader, so I bought the non-mesh.

After my purchase, I was convinced my boobs were broken because none of the appliers worked. Finally, the light bulb went off. My boobs weren’t mesh, so I had to invest in a mesh pair. Don’t make my mistake. I actually prefer the standard avatar breasts, but I’ll play with the mesh breasts (no…not that way) for photos.

The whole point of my rambling was to reveal this week’s Bitch Tails outfit over at Acid Lily. BT Spring Fling is a complete outfit, so that means it comes with ultra-low rise jeans, bow tie flats, and a lacy cropped top, with—you guessed it—Lola appliers. Complete outfits are always nice because they are convenient or we can mix and match to our hearts’ content.

By the way, my Glitterati pose prop “Shuttered” was on sale for fifty linden Friday, but Ms. Katey Coppola is keeping it out for one more day. It has 5 built in poses and fresh pastel colors for spring.

A Time to Dance

it’s the beginning of a new week, thus, Acid Lily has a brand new collection out! I love Beyond the Star’s casual outfit Just Another Day. It’s a partial mesh outfit, and the layered top comes in a variety of colors, and all colors are included!

You Only Live Once

I’ve been a little preoccupied this week. The last Arcade event demonstrated that I have no self-control! I thought I fixed that bad habit, and maybe I did? No…I really didn’t. The Arcade is addictive fun and hey! Like my Spearsong T-shirt reads, you only live once!

The SS mesh shirt and vest are available at Acid Lily until Sunday. There are loads of others to choose from, but this one was most appropriate for my situation. Oh and a word of advice if you decide to try your luck at the arcade…tell yourself you only are allowed to click once more on each Gacha. I kept telling myself that…but I said once many times. Ok, that’s bad advice, but I have no discipline. For a sure deal, head on down to Acid Lily before this week’s collection is gone.
