Bosom Buddies and a Spring Fling

Don’t judge me! I’m still a bit shy, but yes I jumped on the Lolas Bandwagon. In my defense, so many designers are incorporating the appliers in their clothes, so I had to see for myself. However, I did make a costly mistake. If you’re considering getting a pair, make sure they are mesh. I didn’t read the sign properly, I’m a horrible skim reader, so I bought the non-mesh.

After my purchase, I was convinced my boobs were broken because none of the appliers worked. Finally, the light bulb went off. My boobs weren’t mesh, so I had to invest in a mesh pair. Don’t make my mistake. I actually prefer the standard avatar breasts, but I’ll play with the mesh breasts (no…not that way) for photos.

The whole point of my rambling was to reveal this week’s Bitch Tails outfit over at Acid Lily. BT Spring Fling is a complete outfit, so that means it comes with ultra-low rise jeans, bow tie flats, and a lacy cropped top, with—you guessed it—Lola appliers. Complete outfits are always nice because they are convenient or we can mix and match to our hearts’ content.

By the way, my Glitterati pose prop “Shuttered” was on sale for fifty linden Friday, but Ms. Katey Coppola is keeping it out for one more day. It has 5 built in poses and fresh pastel colors for spring.

The Art Box

The Art Box was one of my first few stops when I originally signed up for Second Life, and it’s still one of my favorite places to go. Before browsing the art, I felt compelled to wear le fil casse Chat Noir Shirt. It uses Théophile-Alexandre Steinlen’s Tournée du Chat Noir art poster for its background. Meow!

Really the Art Box is a fun concept. You chose the artwork and the lower level gives you three minutes to insert yourself into a piece of art. Here’s an example of the selections.

However, these are not the only ones. More exist on the sides and on the third floor. Once you choose your artwork prop, you have the choice of using the free props as well. I felt like Bunny Girl by Helmet Newton, so along with the ears and shadow mask prop, I put on Cake’s Leather Dress with Belt.

Acid Lily Monday

Monday again! In the real world, at least in my parts, it’s time to go back to school. However, in SL, Monday means Acid Lily Mondays! Every Monday, tons of talented designers from across the grid showcase select items in Acid Lily’s collection. Everything is 70L and under too.

Bitch Tails All Eyes On Us shirt and pants mesh ensemble is one of those items over at Acid Lily! It’s super sexy, but comfortable enough to relax in.

If you love to show off your tummy with belly rings, Phoebe Piercings & More has black and silver sets with gem color controls at Acid Lily too! The book prop from the last Arcade event totally reminded me of my undergraduate days. Text books are sometimes so boring, so I had some unusual reading habits 😉

Troll Patrol

Happy Christmas Eve and Acid Lily Monday! It’s not too late for Christmas shopping and that means you can shop for yourself too! Acid Lily has a brand new collection out for your shopping pleasure. Bitch Tales Troll Hunter is camouflage with wings so you can remain incognito, but quickly fly and swoop down on sl predators. It’s a complete ensemble so comes with boots, stockings, and blindfold as well.

BT’s Troll Hunter outfit is actually perfect for all those flatter bots out and about. There has to be a person behind the keyboard right? While trolls and bots may be different, they are equally annoying. I actually came across two flatter bots. So far, I’ve only run across two scripts. I wasn’t aware of this until a google search and came across Iris Ophelia’s blog, but I did talk back to first avi as though were a normal “person.”

Haunted

This week kicks off a new collection over at Acid Lily Designer Showcase. In a brand new location, Acid Lily serves up loads of treats and each treat is 70L and under! Speaking of treats, I was out roaming SL and thought I would do some pre trick or treating in Bitch Tail’s Haunted Outfit. The top and skirt are made of mesh, and Haunted also includes the fishnet stockings and garters. Just in case I had to run from any ghosts or goblins, I added an additional set of garters.

It was a little chilly over at the Bay of Surreality so I added a tank top, but you can be more daring than I and wear it without. I always think asymmetric hems are good for layering. Speaking of the sim, it is hauntingly beautiful. I read all about it in Pure Eggs & Spam and knew I had to check it out. So if you are in the mood to travel, take a look for yourself.
