Monday again! In the real world, at least in my parts, it’s time to go back to school. However, in SL, Monday means Acid Lily Mondays! Every Monday, tons of talented designers from across the grid showcase select items in Acid Lily’s collection. Everything is 70L and under too.

Bitch Tails All Eyes On Us shirt and pants mesh ensemble is one of those items over at Acid Lily! It’s super sexy, but comfortable enough to relax in.

If you love to show off your tummy with belly rings, Phoebe Piercings & More has black and silver sets with gem color controls at Acid Lily too! The book prop from the last Arcade event totally reminded me of my undergraduate days. Text books are sometimes so boring, so I had some unusual reading habits 😉

The Cat’s Meow!

Who doesn’t love to hit the sales? LIV Glam’s Paris One is on sale at Fi*Friday. Paris One comes with skinny mesh jeans and a ultra cute top. If you’re a cat lover, you’ll want this item for sure. There’s also another incentive.

Most shopaholics have trouble keeping their inventories down to a respectable size. It’s been said that larger inventories contribute to lag. That could be totally true. Although it would probably have to do with one’s internet connection and computer. However my inventory has grown totally out of control and I feel laggier than ever. Coincidence or not? Don’t know, but it is nice to keep inventories under control. Now the reason behind my spiel. For some of her ensembles, such as the Paris One, LIV Glam designer allows you to get the items via a hud.

Pretty cool huh? As you can see, from the shot of the hud above, you can chose your size and it automatically arrives. Just a Bit Longer

Jared Spearsong created exclusive jackets for Acid Lily’s weekly round. The SS Acid Lily Leather Euro exclusive comes in white, black, and brown. The shadows in the texture are really quite nice! I paired it with Beyond the Star’s sleek mesh skirt. You can find this skirt with a color changer hud at Acid Lily as well. The BTS skirt is available in black and white, but you can can change the color of the belt with the hud.

Embrace the New Year

Sascha’s Embrace is a perfect gown to ring in the new year. I love the Raspberry! All shades of pink are my favorite colors. I just can’t help it! I wanted to show the variety in skirts and colors. That’s what makes Sascha’s outfits so fun. You always have a choice in one package.

I love to layer clothes. Perhaps it’s my Southwest upbringing. The weather changes fast! Cardigans are one of my staples in real life and in Second Life. LIV Glam’s Delphine Cardigan offers woolly warmth and color variation, thanks to its color hud.

Blow Up the Outside World

Pardon the title of this post! I was listening to Soundgarden as I played with my picture. “Blow Up the Outside World” is such a moody song, but it’s one of my favorites because I think it’s hauntingly beautiful.

However, the reason for this post is to show Kaithleen’s Mesh Corset. It’s one of the goodies over at Acid Lily.

Corsets remind me of darker times when women were hardly able to breathe. No problem in SL though. You can find this corset for 69L at Acid Lily. It’s got a beautiful fit and offers standard sizes.

I’ve noticed with some corsets, I have to really adjust my breasts, but this one wasn’t a problem at all. Will it be that way for everyone? Don’t know, but the texture is really lovely. Check it out at Acid Lily.

Ex-shoes me? Where did you get your shoes?

We can always use more shoes right ladies? CandyMetal has some cute mesh pumps over at this week’s Acid Lily collection.

While I like mesh heels, sometimes the colors can be a bit tricky. Huds are easy to use, but there are so many different shades in our skins alone. I use Color Cop to find a close RGB.

First I open up Color Cop. It’s a super small window that stays open, so I’m able to read the numbers I get without switching back and forth. However, you’ll need to have Basic and Atmospheric Shaders checked in your preferences box.

See the super tiny window? It’s very handy. None of the hud’s presets worked for my skin, so I used the dropper to get an approximate match. Usually people recommend you get the RGB above the avi ankle bone or on it. Since I wanted a good front view, I dragged the dropper to the shin right above the shoe’s mesh ankle.

Yay! It’s much closer to my skin tone. Not perfect, but I don’t like to run around in mesh heels really because of the variation in windlights. I use a bright windlight setting and low graphics to run around in. I love how bright windlights make us all so pretty. However, the feet’s tone works for my pictures. Done!
