Surprise Me!

Recently, a friend of mine threw a surprise party for her husband but it didn’t have the wow factor she was hoping for. One, they have twins and her husband always brings both babies at the same time. So she had her phone filming discretely and hubby only walks in with one baby. You can hear the wtf in my friend’s voice when she asked where the other baby was. Hubby gets other baby two seconds later…then leaves again to collect the diaper bags.

Surprise Parties

Normally, he brings it all in. Think someone alerted him to the surprise? Methinks yes. The lesson: don’t let too many people in on the surprise! I had a surprise bridal party and it was my first surprise party. I was genuinely surprised, so it honestly made for the best time ever!

Chasing Weiland: “It’s what made you who you were.”

Scott Weiland’s death devastated me. I grew up listening to Stone Temple Pilots. They were my first concert. In many ways, their music shaped the way I hear new music today, and, so often, a song builds my blogs.

I heard “Plush” while driving to work today, and it brought back so many memories. There is the innocent interpretation of “Plush,” and that is merely how the lyrics compel me to sing along. Have you ever heard this song while observing Karaoke? My husband sang it at my work’s holiday bash and it was a favorite!

Was it the lyrics that made my co-workers, and myself, sing along? “Where

so much depends on the weather Perhaps, it is the connotation of trying to hide one’s true self, or one’s actions and motives, that makes others relate? This is me trying to figure myself out. It’s also an ode to my appreciation of Scott Weiland. He shall rest in peace, and I will call it a night and see what tomorrow brings.

Las Vegas Winters (What? No Snow?)

I swear my outfits go through this every winter. I’m a southwestern girl by heart, so my move from Albuquerque to Las Vegas kept me in warm winter weather. The only snow I really see is in Second Life!

Tis the Season

I’m back home! We celebrate Thanksgiving early because it’s easier to travel in the middle of November rather than the actual day. Family affairs are rough, so it’s good to be home.

Don’t get me wrong. I miss my family but once you hit a certain age, or maybe once you live on your own, staying at mom and dad’s can be difficult.

Tis the Season

Road Trip

I’m hitting the road! tomorrow! Now, road trips are so much fun in theory, but the drive to Albuquerque isn’t the best. It’ll be good to see my family though, and luckily my husband will drive out. I just have to take care of our two rats (small Chihuahuas). That’s a fair trade. 😀

Actually, I love October because of Halloween, but today did mark one end.

True Love

My husband realized the true extent of my online confessions. I’m so glad I post disclaimers lol. I don’t keep a keep a typical journal, and whenever I blog, I like to envision the fashion as stories, so most of my posts reveal my moods. Although, not today. I snapped these shots last week. I was totally on the edge, so my hubby was a combination of weary agitation.

Sascha’s Designs Wildrose is a recent release. I think you’ll find the gloves are a fun touch because you change the position of the hands with a HUD.

Sometimes, I can’t handle the change in seasons. Even though it’s almost summer like in Vegas all the time, my body can sense summer is fading into fall. Speaking of fading, Designer Showcase’s August round ends tomorrow.

I’ve been wearing the same old eyes since I found the perfect shade of blue, but I was pleasantly surprised to find I really liked Dulce Secret’s collection of mesh eyes. I can wear two colors at once! Many of you have probably gone that route or discovered the fun of mesh eyes.
