I’ve been acclimated to Las Vegas weather, so it’s really hard for me to think of September as the start of fall. Although, I’ve noticed I feel a little chilly when it’s 70 degrees. Summer is ending and in spite of the wicked heat in Las Vegas, I can’t help but feel a tad sorrowful. I’m back in my hometown Albuquerque visiting my fam, and I already miss my place! When visiting home, I usually stay with my parents, unless my husband and my other Chihuahua come along. My solo trips are almost always a great time, but with great times come suppression.
In other words, it feels like I’m expected to turn into a teenager again, but a well-behaved teenager this time around. And silly me, I fall into that trap every time.

If you listen to what I’ve been listening to, your thoughts regarding the song may be vastly different than mine. Perhaps it’s a song you never heard before. Or, it’s a song you’ve memorized because it’s a stark juxtaposition between existence and experience.
This song is my mother song’s to me because she always thinks of me when she hears it. Fittingly, Freya’s camo pattern and self-destructive accessories by AnaSTyle fit the mood. At least it does for me. While I don’t feel as lost as I once did, my memories haunt me.
