Chasing Weiland: “It’s what made you who you were.”

Scott Weiland’s death devastated me. I grew up listening to Stone Temple Pilots. They were my first concert. In many ways, their music shaped the way I hear new music today, and, so often, a song builds my blogs.

I heard “Plush” while driving to work today, and it brought back so many memories. There is the innocent interpretation of “Plush,” and that is merely how the lyrics compel me to sing along. Have you ever heard this song while observing Karaoke? My husband sang it at my work’s holiday bash and it was a favorite!

so much depends on the weather Perhaps, it is the connotation of trying to hide one’s true self, or one’s actions and motives, that makes others relate? This is me trying to figure myself out. It’s also an ode to my appreciation of Scott Weiland. He shall rest in peace, and I will call it a night and see what tomorrow brings.

Las Vegas Winters (What? No Snow?)

I swear my outfits go through this every winter. I’m a southwestern girl by heart, so my move from Albuquerque to Las Vegas kept me in warm winter weather. The only snow I really see is in Second Life!

I’m back home! We celebrate Thanksgiving early because it’s easier to travel in the middle of November rather than the actual day. Family affairs are rough, so it’s good to be home.

Don’t get me wrong. I miss my family but once you hit a certain age, or maybe once you live on your own, staying at mom and dad’s can be difficult.

“My, my, how the seasons go by…”

It’s my second fall in Las Vegas, Nevada. Sorry, I have to clarify the state because I’m from New Mexico. We have a Las Vegas too, but it’s not the glitter and glam of Sin City. Anyway, my first fall here was strange. I wasn’t sure what to expect. Now, I’ve noticed fall/winter wear paired with summer wear, and it’s typically warm on top and cool on the bottom.

Fall fashion has hit SL, but true to my new RL home, I mixed fall and summer. Actually, I did this in New Mexico too. Maybe it’s a desert upbringing? My husband realized the true extent of my online confessions. I’m so glad I post disclaimers lol. I don’t keep a keep a typical journal, and whenever I blog, I like to envision the fashion as stories, so most of my posts reveal my moods. Although, not today. I snapped these shots last week. I was totally on the edge, so my hubby was a combination of weary agitation.

Sascha’s Designs Wildrose is a recent release. I think you’ll find the gloves are a fun touch because you change the position of the hands with a HUD.
