Sometimes I can’t sleep. Okay, I know. That secret sucks because it isn’t salacious or juicy. If it helps, my secret may be your secret. When insomnia hits, we may have a lot on our minds. See? You aren’t alone. If you have Pose Fair on your mind, you are definitely not alone. Animations breathe life into our Second Life personas. So…are you  ready?

I am numb

Pose Fair starts Friday, April 14th at 12pm SLT, and it runs till April 29th. I’m giving you a sneak preview into what to expect, especially if you are a fan of WetCat. “Daddy’s Girl” Bear Prop offers 9 single pose options and 6 couple pose options. If you want, change the teddy bear’s coat with 7 choices. “Cyber-Link” WebCam Prop, below, is available in naughty and nice. After all, life fluctuates between PG and R (or XXX in some cases <3).

The world is sleeping

I have to warn tall avatars, though. I’m very short in RL, so I like to go to the extreme opposite in SL. Wetcat Flux used short and curvy shapes when creating “Daddy’s Girl” and “Cyber Link” as she mentions in her note. If you’re a tall avatar too, be prepared to take advantage of the ability to adjust your position.  Don’t worry. It’s easy to adjust!

Now, get some sleep, if you can USA peeps. If you’re on an international time zone, better stay up. After all, Pose Fair 2017 starts at 12 PM SLT! 😉

I have a love/hate relationship with Sundays. There’s a lot love because it’s my day off. Once the sun sets, I remember the end of Sunday marks the beginning of the work week.

Dear sister:

I hate to break it to you, but there is usually a bigger picture. It goes beyond he said she said scenarios too. It’s literally opening up one’s perspective and it ain’t always fun.

Things are not what they seem to be

Trust me. If things seem wrong or dangerous, they probably are. Broaden your scope.

The first appearance deceives many

Once you broaden your scope, you’ll see the bullshit for what it is because “worldly comfort is an illusion” (Mirabai) in your particular case. Now once you do, it’s your turn.

And I leave behind this hurricane of fucking lies

It’s your turn to walk away from what deceived you in the first place. Emotional wars are exhausting, and sadly so many, including me, fight for the wrong reasons. You probably won’t read this. One, you don’t have a blog and two, you probably forgot about my grown up virtual Barbie doll games/online journal. If you do, know I love you and I will be there when and if you need help walking away.

Spring is my favorite season. Though, I could do without the wind. It’s been said when March rolls in like a lion, it goes out like a lamb, but in Las Vegas, they like to keep us on our toes. I shouldn’t complain. Compared to other states, NV’s weather may be perfection.

It’s time for catharsis. Although I should treat my home to a massive and literal spring cleaning, my mind and soul take precedence. Because in order for the literal spring cleaning to work, the actual laborer has to feel like he or she is in the mood.

In this instance, the laborer is me because it’s my journal, but surely I’m not alone? If I’m not, wash all the angst away.

You know, I’ve never seen The Graduate, but I heard a remake of “Mrs. Robinson” on my way to work today, and it’s been in my head ever since. I’m not sure what the original songwriters meant when writing the lyrics, but it’s always been a song that made me think of dual personalities, but not in a mentally ill kind of way, if that makes sense. I mean…have you ever said one thing and shown the exact opposite?

For instance, I’ve told people two glasses of wine can knock me out. I would never share that I can down an entire bottle and stay awake. Obviously, I am impaired, but I’m still wide awake. Well, I just shared, but I’ll hold my fingers accountable for that.

In many cases, it’s okay to show one face to the public and one face in private. When the two intersect, it can be hypocritical depending on the receiver. Here’s another fun example. My co-worker interviewed several applicants for a position opening.

The candidate was charming, spoke highly of the company, and had many skills.Unfortunately, as in life, there is usually someone better than you (reader rest assured it’s not me), so my co-worker opted to go with someone who had more of the skills she was looking for.

This charming schmoozer with a wide variety of skills replied to the rejection email with 🖕.  I’ve never seen that either. Takeaway? We can’t judge a book by its cover because it may be missing crucial pages. C’est la vie.

I’m actually just in love with Project Bento. Trying to demonstrate expression in SL was one of my biggest (but silent) gripes. It really is all in the face, eyes, and hands. Changing hands to suit the mood used to be high maintenance and unrealistic. Know what I mean?

See what I mean? The hands are so different. Sunshine is wearing the default Maitreya hands whereas I’m wearing Vista’s Bento hands. They both look natural, but I love how Bento poses read the hands or vice versa. Whichever it is, it works.

Now, if I could only be so animated in IRL. My signature IRL hands IRL are usually clenched. I’m telling you anxiety is a bish!
