When we think of the color pink, what usually comes to mind? Popular answers may be that pink represents love and sweetness or happiness and affection. However, pink is also
the color for Breast Cancer Awareness. The Pink Vaccine is the world’s first preventive breast cancer vaccine. However, although it has been proven to be 100% effective in preventing breast cancer in mice and successful in reducing tumors in mice that already had breast cancer, it awaits funding to use in human clinical trials. One of my first instructors in SL was Giselle Temple, and those who know her know that she was diagnosed with Inflammatory Breast Cancer in 2011. She thoughtfully provided a logo to use in case we wanted to support the Pink Vaccine funding. If you support it, here is a copy for you too. Just right-click and save. I’m still fairly young and healthy (I hope!), but I encourage and support its funding because one never knows what will work. Who knows what the future will bring, but either way we all have the right to hope for the best.

Especially when they have animal prints;) Yeah not my most clever statement lol, but Chandelle added the cutest dress to Acid Lily’s recent showcase collection. The giraffe print is really well done, and the texture itself looks so soft and has a subtle fuzzy feel. It’s available for a promo price of 70L or under and has an amazing fit.

I felt like having fun with colors today. PatchWork Heart has a sassy lil dress over at Acid Lily. It comes with the sparkly heels, but sorry…have to get your own rainbow 😉 The Sparkle dress comes in purple too, but again…needed a little color in my life 😀
I was playing with this picture at work and used Picasa to add some color to my originally plain white background. It’s actually a really cool program to play around in. I think I’ll do more experimenting with it when I feel like getting a bit more arty. I thought PatchWork Heart’s Sparkles dress needed more than just a plain ole background. Actually…depending where you are, it may still be as hot as ever! This week at Acid Lily, TinRoof has an adorable Mesh blouse for sale. The Poet Blouse comes in 5 standard sizes, so you can definitely find the right size for your shape. I’ve noticed that sometimes I have to edit my shape to fit into mesh, but in this case, I didn’t have to change a thing. Honestly though, I don’t mind changing my body for mesh because it’s just to easy to adjust our shapes. Pink is one of my favorite colors, so the Furore Mesh Promgrown is a sweet and girly addition to my inventory. I love long sleek dresses and mesh is well suited for that particular silhouette.
