January is the month for looking forward, but it’s also the best month to reflect. It’s Designer Showcase’s 15 year anniversary, and I can’t believe it. I have so many fond memories as a blogger. Fashion has changed so drastically. Remember when we had to put on multiple pieces? Remember when our outfits weren’t as shiny as the ads? Rock Your Rack is an annual fundraising event combining the best of SL Music, Art, Dance, and Fashion to support the work of breast cancer charities and raise awareness for early detection, which is critical to a positive outcome for this devastating disease. Fashion can bring us all together, wouldn’t you say?

It’s so hard to balance the end of summer and the beginning of Fall. Benk Couture’s Leaf dress fits both. I’ve been into orange lately, but Leaf also comes in other colors!

In addition to exclusive pieces, Rock Your Rack brings a fun hunt to the mix! Look for a clothes hanger, and you will find unique prizes such as Luna’s Catus nails!

I love the start of a brand new year. Something really special happens in January too! Designer Showcase is celebrating its 14th anniversary! I hold a special place in my heart for DS. They took a chance on a new blogger; I will forever be grateful (omgosh, I just realized I’ve been in SL for over 15 years). The anniversary event will feature talented designers from all over the grid starting January 5th! My sneak peek is JUMO’s Avery gown.
