I jest about the whining. Well, I do whine quite a bit, but time is valuable, so if one doesn’t want to hear whining, he or she can shut it off. Tonight I’m mostly whining about the end of one of my favorite SL events.

My mind is set on overdriveThat’s right. Pose Fair is over. Did you have a good time? I’m going to take a moment to give a shout out to all the pose creators. Thank you for taking the time to inject life into SL! Movement implies life and that in turn suggests emotion.Somebody keep my balanceWhile avatars are not alive, the people behind  the keyboard are most definitely living and breathing creatures. Incidentally, I’ll always remember my first experience with animation in SL. Always move forwardI actually thought the default Ruth stand was cool because it was different and it looked like a confused chick. Now, it’s kinda irritating, but only when I’m in the midst of making a pose work. I found my place in nowhereNow, look how far SL has come! I can’t imagine SL without Project Bento now, so pose makers, keep those poses coming! It’s probably (most certainly) more difficult, but know it makes all the difference, especially to those who use animated hand gestures in RL.   On my own, here we go

I have a RL friend of a RL friend who uses her hands to make every point and it’s appropriate for that friend of friend because her poker face sucks. One may call her overly animated. Poor thing. She has good intentions (I really do!).

How’d you spend Earth day? I had the best day! My physical results are the starters of a farmer sunburn (eventual tan), but there’s so much more. Sadly, emotional results are left to interpretation because they’re difficult to quantify. Just believe okay? 😉

Nevertheless, I’ll try to explain. Hanging around people with similar goals is fun. It’s easy. My local #ScienceMarchLV was actually a rally, but marches and rallies aren’t just marches and rallies. They’re marathons because the finish line requires endurance.

It’s safe to say we can all agree marriage is a commitment that goes beyond a typical relationship, even long term common wealth relationships. I just realized filing taxes as a married middle class couple sucks. I miss 2016 tax filing time. Anyway, married couples do have something our common wealth counterparts do not. Weddings!

So, that’s my advice for the day. I also advise you to visit Designer Showcase and Pose Fair as soon as possible because April is going to end. We won’t see another April until next year. Weird when one thinks about it that way, eh? Speaking of Pose Fair, I thought you should know. Corpus’s Editorial poses have attitude and emotion. Manifeste is one of my oldest favorites when it comes to pose makers. They also mix fashion, emotion, and attitude. Looks like they are meant to be. 😉

Down the Rabbit Hole: A Beginner’s Guide

When it comes to new challenges or adventures, sometimes you have to go for it all alone. Here’s my journey in a nutshell. FOXCITY gave me the narrative and I’m just running with it! FOXCITY is one of my new go to pose makers for Bento poses.  At this year’s Pose Fair, Satomi Masukami didn’t disappoint. I’m a sucker for emotional poses along with props and appropriate backdrops. After all, I’m telling a story.

I whisper things, the city sings 'em back to youWhat inspires you? If you haven’t thought of anything, think about it. My inspiration in RL and SL comes from what grabs my interest and many times it comes from the web.

Foxcity Night OwlIf you are inspired, are you alone in your quest? That’s okay. You’re not really alone.

Green LightOther like minded people are right there with you. I’m right there with you. We just have distance in the way. Close your eyes and prepare for your trip down the rabbit hole.

Down the rabbit holeLiquid courage is acceptable, but don’t depend on it. The buzz wears off ya know?

Sometimes I can’t sleep. Okay, I know. That secret sucks because it isn’t salacious or juicy. If it helps, my secret may be your secret. When insomnia hits, we may have a lot on our minds. See? You aren’t alone. If you have Pose Fair on your mind, you are definitely not alone. Animations breathe life into our Second Life personas. So…are you  ready?

I am numb

Pose Fair starts Friday, April 14th at 12pm SLT, and it runs till April 29th. I’m giving you a sneak preview into what to expect, especially if you are a fan of WetCat. “Daddy’s Girl” Bear Prop offers 9 single pose options and 6 couple pose options. If you want, change the teddy bear’s coat with 7 choices. “Cyber-Link” WebCam Prop, below, is available in naughty and nice. After all, life fluctuates between PG and R (or XXX in some cases <3).

The world is sleeping

I have to warn tall avatars, though. I’m very short in RL, so I like to go to the extreme opposite in SL. Wetcat Flux used short and curvy shapes when creating “Daddy’s Girl” and “Cyber Link” as she mentions in her note. If you’re a tall avatar too, be prepared to take advantage of the ability to adjust your position.  Don’t worry. It’s easy to adjust!

Now, get some sleep, if you can USA peeps. If you’re on an international time zone, better stay up. After all, Pose Fair 2017 starts at 12 PM SLT! 😉
