“Tell forth your tale, and spareth for no man…”

Although the Third Annual Medieval Faire nears its end, there’s much to come in the next two days. Feline Fine Fanatics’ Grimhilde Dress is an elegant gown with a definite edge. The leather cuffs have a subtle pattern that accompanies the noble print and flattering silhouette that starts with a collar and flows into a train and collar. Honestly, FFFs’ Grimhilde made me feel like a powerful queen, so I’d like to share an anecdote.

“Gladly,” quod she, “since that it may you like.
But that I pray to all this company,
If that I speak after my fantasy,”#MedievalWoman“As taketh not a-grief of what I say,
For my intent is not but for to play.
Now, sir, then will I tell you forth my tale.”Medieval Dinner“As ever may I drinken wine or ale
I shall say sooth: the husbands that I had
As three of them were good, and two were bad.
The three men were good and rich and old.”
Sitting Medieval RegalUnnethè mighten they the statute hold
In which that they were bounden unto me.
You wot well what I mean of this, pardee.
As God me help, I laughè when that I think,
How piteously a-night I made them swink.”

“Of a’ the airts the wind can blaw…”

“I dearly like the west,
For there the bonie lassie lives,
The lassie I lo’ve best:The lassie I lo've best
There’s wild woods grow, and rivers row,
And mony a hill between;
But day and night my fancy’s flight
Is ever wi’ my Jean.”

MacAlister and Lady MacAlister of Skye, available at the Medieval Faire for Relay For Life, is the perfect couple’s outfit. Both are mesh, but MacAlister also has Omega Appliers for a variety of shirts. For this purpose, Taco is wearing the traditional mesh shirt. He has to tend to the horses while I forage for food. Lady MacAlister features the same plaid pattern but with a vibrant forest green corseted waist. If you haven’t stopped by the Medieval Faire for Relay For Life, remember the fair ends on June 18th. Don’t miss the opportunity to listen and dance to live music, participate in games, explore a medieval environment, and shop for a worthy cause.

One More Week to Go

There is only one more week to go! Thus far, the Unmasking a Cure Medieval Faire raised 93,242 L, which brings them within 150,000 L to their 800,000 L Faire total goal. Have you stopped by the Medieval Faire for Relay For Life? Look for Just Imagine. Just Imagine’s Marion Red Flowers is a beautiful gown that combines the careful construction of mesh and the reality of movement, with it’s traditional flexi train and sleeve cuffs.

Letting go

Isn’t the pattern soothing? As a typical girly girl, I love floral prints. How about you?

“Leave not a rack behind…”

We are such stuff as dreams are made on and our little life is rounded with a sleep.

Maybelle

Once we wake up, where do we go? I have a suggestion. How about the Third Annual Medieval Faire presented by Unmasking A Cure Relay For Life Team (#38)? It’s a place to shop with purpose because sponsors have committed to donating proceeds to a noble cause. Gidget’s Style is one. Soft, romantic silhouettes are my go to dream wear, and Gidget’s Style Maybelle is executed beautifully with its crisp bodice details.  The Faire runs until June 18, 2017. Hope to see you there!

Over the sea there dwelt a queen whose like was never known…

for she was of great strength and surpassing beauty. With her love as the prize, she vied with brave warriors while wearing EEc’s Freydis, a luxurious gown, at throwing the javelin, and the noble lady also hurled the weight to great distance and followed with a long leap; and whoever aspired to her love had, without fail, to win these three tests against her, or else, if he lost but one, he forfeited his head.

whose like was never knownEEc’s “The mountains from which we came” Freydis is a stunning gown. Its strapless corset bodice, off the shoulder sleeves, and long A-Line skirt with train embraces feminine curves. Use the applier to add a modesty top, as I have done, or bare your lovely décolletage. Leather embellishments on the sleeves gives the impression of power. The woman who wears this gown is one to be reckoned with.

The mountains from which we cameIn case you haven’t heard, Unmasking A Cure Relay For Life Team (#38) is going medieval on cancer! The opening day was yesterday, but you have nearly a month to visit The Third Annual Medieval Faire as it runs from now through June 18, 2017. There are over 80 merchants throughout the Faire grounds; village, travelers’ camp and Gotya garden, and they are supporting Relay For Life with items that will be sold for a 100% donation. Care to go? Click here for your steed.

“Joy’s soul lies in the doing.”

Yearning for Medieval fashion all in the name of a worthy cause? William Shakespeare once wrote”There’s a time for all things” and the time starts now.” Actually, the time starts May 19th. Unmasking A Cure Relay For Life Team presents the Third Annual Medieval Faire and it runs from May 19th though June 18th.

If you haven’t heard “Women speak two languages – one of which is verbal” (Shakespeare). The other is fashion, in this case, and sometimes we have to hunt for it. JMK‘s hunt item for the Medieval Faire is undeniably romantic with a full skirt, strapless bodice, and flowing sleeves and a slow cascade of pastel colors.

UAC Medieval Faire

I can’t tell you where to find JMK‘s Duchess Thistle Gown, but I can say it’s worth it. If your body choice includes Maitreya Lara, Belleza Venus, Slink, Hourglass, or TMP, you are literally covered. If you haven’t joined the mesh body club, don’t fear. It’ll still fit thanks to FitMesh. I hope to see you there!
