How to Train Your Unicorn

Ok this isn’t really my unicorn. It’s a lovely prop I found at one of my new favorite in world locations. I love dreamy fantasy gardens, and I found the Garden of Girls sim in one of my SL searches. I must have been a frequent visitor because someone let me know if I joined the group, I could rezz props there! Yay! However, you must be female, so sorry boys! I like it because it’s quiet and I can concentrate on taking photos.

I found the unicorn while investigating the sim, and I immediately thought of wearing Sascha’s Designs Teazy Gown.  I love this gown!

You have loads of colors to choose from, and I chose pink because I love pink, but I also wanted to go for a Princess look. You never know…maybe unicorns only listen to royalty, or to those who dress like royalty 😉

Teazy comes with 3 long skirt options and an optional ruffled stola. This particular unicorn was feisty, so I took off the stola and let my hair loose. I finally trained this unicorn, but sadly I had to leave her behind. Seriously though, Sascha’s Teazy is one of my new favorite gowns, and if you love to feel beautiful…I think it will be one of yours too.

I ♥ School

I’m a real life student, and my semester began on Monday. I’m anticipating lots of late nights studying (mostly because I procrastinate). It’s always good to be as comfy as one can when studying, so I like to do it in my jammies or undies. Depends on what I’m studying really. Lola has a sweet Dollarbie (aka 1 L) over at Acid Lily. It can definitely be used for more…how shall I say it…sexy occasions. 😉 The crop top and lace up boy shorts’ heart print is too cute! Pick it up before it goes away at Acid Lily.

LIV-Glam has a gorgeous dress available tomorrow as part of the Secret Wednesday Sales! The Gigi silk gown comes with a color change hud, so you can glam it up with tons of sparkly color changes or be sweet with floral prints. I felt glam tonight, so I’m wearing it as a beaded gown.

I love the low back too. It’s made of mesh, and you have five sizes to choose from. It really is a must see because if I were to post all the options, I would be here forever lol…now that is a lot of choices!

A Sassy Lassie in Pink Leaves

I’m a huge fan of pink and sweet girlish dresses, so if you are too, this week at Acid Lily, Sassy is giving just that!

Sassy’s Summer Dress in Pink Leaf is made of mesh and has such a soft and pretty look to it. I was dying to use the Baffle Paper Butterflies prop from the Vintage Fair, and in a way my picture represents a farewell to my real life summer season.

When we think of the color pink, what usually comes to mind? Popular answers may be that pink represents love and sweetness or happiness and affection. However, pink is also
the color for Breast Cancer Awareness. The Pink Vaccine is the world’s first preventive breast cancer vaccine. However, although it has been proven to be 100% effective in preventing breast cancer in mice and successful in reducing tumors in mice that already had breast cancer, it awaits funding to use in human clinical trials. You can read more about it here.

One of my first instructors in SL was Giselle Temple, and those who know her know that she was diagnosed with Inflammatory Breast Cancer in 2011.  She thoughtfully provided a logo to use in case we wanted to support the Pink Vaccine funding. If you support it, here is a copy for you too. Just right-click and save. I’m still fairly young and healthy (I hope!), but I encourage and support its funding because one never knows what will work. Who knows what the future will bring, but either way we all have the right to hope for the best.
